We will be reading and exploring the book of Luke in worship. You are challenged to follow along.

In the weeks ahead, we'll break it down into chunks to read and study as a community. Find all the readings in the Worship page.

What's our goal? To have it shape & transform us. More details to come!

Luke 1:1-4

In these four verses the author (presumably Luke) explains his methods and purposes. He makes it clear that he has done his homework by reading what others have written and by talking with eyewitnesses. Luke’s account is well-researched and thoughtfully organized account intended to reassure Theophilus (and others who read the account) that what they have been ‘taught’ (presumably about Jesus and what God is doing in this new age) is trustworthy and true. Luke’s goal is not simply to convey historical facts. He seeks to convince Theophilus and others who read this account that in and through the events recorded God’s long awaited redemption of Israel and all creation has begun.
