Through learning groups and short-term classes we encourage and challenge each other to explore, learn and practice time-tested spiritual disciplines through which God’s Spirit deepens our relationship with Jesus and shapes us into people who live and love more and more like Jesus day by day.

ADULTS & YOUTH

Bethel Book Study

This group gathers each Sunday at 10:45 (in room #3) to learn how to put their faith in action as they study books by various Christian authors and dig deeper into Scripture.  

Contemporary Issues – facilitated by Karl Schoenefeld

This group gathers each Sunday from 8:00-8:45 am (in the Christian Activity Center) to participate in a video-based study from Church of the Resurrection (a United Methodist Church in the Kansas City area). The group also discusses current events. Occasionally, they do special short-term studies as well.

Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart – facilitated by Pastor Dan

This group gathers at 11:00 AM on the last Sunday of the month in room 6.  The group is intended

for those who have experienced the death of a loved one.  It will help guide, encourage, and support you in your unique journey of grief so that you might experience healing and discover renewed hope and purpose for life.  It involves both an opportunity to learn about the grieving process and experience the support and encouragement of others.  It is not a therapy or counseling group.  We will utilize the book and companion journal entitled “Understanding Your Grief” by Dr. Alan Wolfelt.

CHILDREN

Children are invited to join their parents in worship.

Our preschool and early elementary children are taught lessons in Bethel’s Nursery. Bethel's Nursery is open each Sunday morning during worship and Sunday school. Staffing is provided by a paid worker who is Safe Sanctuary certified.
